Seresco participates in the EIP-AGRI Project

Seresco participated in the EIP-AGRI Project meeting on the implementation of new ITC Technologies in vineyard management, celebrated in Lugo.

El On February 14th a technical meeting was held to coordinate the Project «Integration of multispectral and agro-climatic data in vineyard management for decision-making within the area of viticulture«. The project promotes sustainable agriculture and forestry. The EIP-AGRI Project is part of the Europe 2020 Strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth.

The project is developed through a group that operates in Galicia and that consists of the companies 3data, Bodegas TerrasGuada, Seresco, the research centers of the Galician Biological Mission of the Council of Scientific Investigations and the University of Santiago de Compostela. It targets precision viticulture using monitoring and new technologies, and aims to improve the quality of the vineyard by optimizing production costs and the impact on the natural environment. It also seeks to improve the efficient use of energy and external resources in the production process.

The meeting of this Operation Group took place in the 3edata’s offices in Lugo, where they addressed planning and organizational matters related to projects that will be undertaken during the year 2017.
