The role ICTs play in the digital transformation of the wine sector

Sereco introduced the global platform for decision-making within the area of viticulture Cultiva Decisiones, during the Enomaq2017 fair.

Seresco participated in the technical conference «El papel de las TIC en la la transformación digital del sector del vino» (The role ITCs play in the digital transformation of the wine sector), organized by the Plataforma Tecnológica del Vino (the Wine Technology Platform of Spain). At the Enomaq show, which took place in Zaragoza during the International Exhibition of Winery and Bottling Machinery and Equipment, some of the latest technological advances of the wine sector were revealed. Such was the case of Seresco´s platform Cultiva Decisiones.

This platform for precision viticulture is one of the sector´s first technologies to allow the optimisation of the production process from the beginning, at the vineyard, guaranteeing the quality of the grape. Cultiva Decisiones is already being used by some of Spain´s most emblematic winemakers. It also allows oenologists, wineries, researchers and technological partners to get better knowledge of the vineyard, associating data and showing information and patterns that would otherwise remain hidden.
