Seresco has been awarded the Primare Project together with Proyestegal and Gradiant
In an Innovative Public Procurement Procedure, the Agency for the Technological Modernization of Galicia (‘Axencia para la Modernización Tecnolóxica de Galicia’, AMTEGA), has awarded Seresco, together with Proyestegal and Gradiant, a contract for development of systems and elements that will make up the technological platform Primare.
The Primare Project is the first Innovative Public Procurement Procedure in the primary sector. The initiative will serve to promote innovation in the business sector, while also encouraging adoption of solutions that enable improvements in efficiency and quality in public services linked to the primary sector.
The Primare Platform will make it possible to carry out field controls associated with European aids in an automated manner, thus providing services for management and follow-up on agricultural and livestock holdings both at the surface level and at the farm level, as well as providing support for monitoring forest area.
The solution will include the capture of geographical, territorial and agri-environmental data through analysis of images obtained using drones and other tools, in addition to images collected using sensors and technologies derived from other areas, such as cartography, archeology, heritage, public works (thermographic images, multi-spectral images, 360º images, satellite images…). Primare will make available to the players in the agriculture and livestock sector a website through which they can easily access a large quantity of information that is indispensable for the daily management of their holdings, and which is even able to detect aspects that cannot be observed with the naked eye, such as nutrients, irrigation, forecasts of harvesting periods…
As Seresco’s Agricultural Innovation Officer, Cristina Monteserín, explains, the Primare Project results in advantages for all involved parties: “The Administration poses to the companies the challenge of solving an existing problem, thus promoting research, innovation and development of novel solutions that do not exist on the market.”
